Benefits of Squats
Squats are the most beneficial exercise which targets the muscles of legs, core, lower back. It helps you strengthen the muscles and burn fats but it's very important to learn how to do squats properly otherwise it would cause serious injuries.
We can do squats in many ways and each has different benifits. Squats strengthening the legs muscles including the quadriceps, calves, and hamstrings. It's helps to burn fat and improve flexibility. If you play sports like football, tennis, basketball then you should practice squats during your training sessions. Weight squats are beneficial to boost the testosterone level naturally.
Today we will be discussing about six types of squats which I believe will be very helpful for everyone-
I- Barbell Back Squat- It's also known as big-bar squat, for doing this exercise you have to place a barbell and weights on the trapezius muscles at the back of your neck.
II- Single-Leg Squat- Single-leg squats are one of the difficult squats exercise, it requires proper strength and balance. It is also know as pistol squat.
III- Smith Machine Squat- smith machine is an equipment which is very common in gyms. The barbell is positioned between two rails so that the bar moves up and down in a single track. No horizontal movement is allowed.
IV- Wall Squats- wall squats are normal squats exercise which you can perform against the walls.
V- Squat jumps- Regular squats is just up and down both legs on the floor while jumping squats is now propelling yourself off the ground and back landing into a soft squats.
VI- Goblet squats- It's a normal squat, holding a weight in front of the chest. The weight could be a kettlebell, dumbbell, or medicine ball.
No doubt squats are one of the most beneficial exercise and give you good results in your overall fitness but it has some disadvantages as well like, if you do squats improperly then you may experience knee pain. Performing weight squats in a wrong way can increase the chances of injuries. So it's important to do weight squats infront of the gym instructor or trainer.
